Jacob's injury

Well yesterday was an exciting day in the Nast household. We had our first ER visit with the boys (we were there a few weeks ago with Josh). Ben was having a rough day was got very frustrated with his train track. The train track went flying in the air and hit poor little Jacob in the nose. Here is the piece of the train track that hit Jacob.

That huge piece of track could have taken out Jake's head. We are so blessed that it just split his nose. Josh came home from work, Mom came to get Ben and Amy came to get Dalton so that Josh and I could take Jacob to the ER. I was pretty certain that he would need stitches. When I was first trying to clean up the blood I saw part of the skin was detached from the rest of the nose. Somehow that train track split all the way through his nose. Jacob did indeed need stitches. He has 3 on the outside and 2 on the inside. The doc's don't predict much scaring and even if there is some it will be so small once his nose is grown up size. Jake was such a trouper through the whole thing. He was smiling at us and laughing before it was done. Since he is so small and they were working on his face they had to sedate him for the procedure but for only about 20 minutes. He was super tired when he finally work up since he entirely missed his morning nap.

Here is a picture of Jacob when we got home from the hospital.

Here are a few pic's of his stitches this AM

I love that last one it is like he was looking up so that I could get a good shot so that he could make sure he got lots of sympathy :)
