Santa

Since Christmas is Friday we decided it was finally time to go and see Santa. Jake decided that he did not want to sit on Santa's lap. Santa - being a smart man knew that the best way to get a picture with out tears was for mom to sit in the Santa chair. So here we are.

Since every Santa has a helper we were able to get a picture of the five of us. (Jake still deciding if Santa is ok or not)
Santa, I would like some Playmobile's please. (hope your are ok with Santa just bringing you one)
Santa I would like 1, 2, 20 Choo Choo Trains (didn't really know about that obsession until a few days ago I think we have it covered though)
Santa you really need to shave or I will eat that beard you have.
Other funny comments: when we got there Ben said: "the Santa that came to school was not the real santa" Why is that Ben? "because this Santa's beard is different from that ones" Really isn't he too young to be trying to figure out Santa?

Ben also somehow remembered that last year we went to dinner in Rochester after we saw Santa and we had reindeer hats.

Florida Day Eight

So, no pictures from today. We just kind of hung out and relaxed. Josh got in 18 holes of Golf. Sherry and Kaley came up from Seabring to hang out. Karen, the boys and I played another 36 holes of Putt-Putt. (Somehow Karen and I got a hole in one on every hole). We then headed back to Downtown Disney for Dinner at Rainforest Cafe and (you guessed it) more ice Cream. We had to leave the Condo Sunday morning at 5:30 so it was home to finish packing. The next AM we woke up early and Jake was super excited to go back on the airplane. Both Jake and Caleb slept on the plane and by the time we got home all Josh and I wanted to do was sleep. It was an awesome trip, one we will never forget.

Florida Day Seven

Friday was a pretty yucky rainy day. The morning started off cool but no rain so we took the opportunity and took the big boys to play putt putt. They (Mickey and Donald had a blast)

No boys we are not sword fighting this is Putt-putt. Here Jake the ball goes right here.
See boys you are suppose to start with the ball right here, hit it and then Run :)

Look at how Mommy and Daddy do it just follow our example
The boys were totally into the parks and since it was a rainy day they were bummed they were not able to go to another park. We did get a tip that we could go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and just walk in and see the animals that are in their courtyard. It was a pretty awesome hotel. You just look out your window and see a giraffe or zebra pretty cool if you ask me.

After Animal Kingdom we went back to Downtown Disney for some more shopping and Ice Cream :) After that Josh and I went out for an awesome dinner and enjoyed some grouper and stone crabs.

Florida Day Six

Our plan was to do parks every other day but the weather was not cooperating with our plan so, we decided to do Sea World on Thursday to hopefully avoid the rain. (we were successful). The boys had a great time. They both love animals and again walked all day long!!!

Since we didnt' get many character pic's at Disney we had to take advantage of Shamu and the Penguin at Sea World.

Jake loved Shamu and wanted to hug him over and over again.

Karen came in town late Wednesday night so she got to enjoy Sea World with us as well.

Look how cool this shot is!!! This is in the underwater viewing place for the dolphins.

Daddy and his Buck
Mommy and her boys

Posing with Shamu

We fed the dolphins it was tons of fun. They seem to love food.

The boys swimming with Nemo
Jake wanted to go on this roller coaster all day long. When Josh went he insisted that it was his turn and that he was not too little. There was a place with all sorts of kiddie rides so we took him over there.

So much fun it is almost like the big roller coaster right?

We also saw the Shamu show, the Dolphin Show and the Sea Lion Show. It was a very successful day in my opinion

Oops

I just realized I put the wrong Darth Vader video on the last post. This is the correct one

Florida Day Five

So our plan was to go to Magic kingdom twice but we tried to fit in everything we wanted to do in one day in case we didn't come back. I called the Disney desk at our resort and the recommend that we head off to Hollywood studios. They had a list of things that were geared to kids 5 and under. Since this is one of the places we wanted to go, but didn't think there would be much for the kids we jumped on the idea. We did not think that it would be a full day experience but I think that we could have easily spent anther day and still not seen it all.

We stared off our day getting a fast pass for the buzz light year ride. We then walked around a little confused and lost looking for what to do next.

Our path brought us to the Star Wars area. One little boy I know was pretty excited.
There was a very cool Jedi training thing that we stood in line for. I really did not think that Ben would do it but after the first group went he really wanted to. (I guess standing in line for 2 hours was really worth it)

What do you think? Think it was worth it? Be careful because Ben is now a Jedi.

After Ben's awesome performance we went over to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. (the boys were not overly impressed but Josh and I had fun with it)

It was now time for Toy Story Midway Mania. It was a pretty cool ride. We had to wear 4-D glasses and shoot stuff. I think that I beat Josh on this one.

After the Toy story ride we met our first character. One of the army guys. Now up until this point we had met no one. I know that sounds crazy but the characters are not just wondering the streets. They are in secret locations that you have to know about to get your picture with them.

It was time to go meet Mickey!! The boys enjoyed it and had fun and we finally had our first picture with Mickey Mouse

After Mickey we headed over to meet Lightening and Mater. That was a highlight of Jacob's day

It was then off to the parade (well it was called a block party but really it was just a parade). It was really cute and the boys enjoyed it.
Look how into it Ben was
We then saw a cute little playhouse Disney show (it is the new version of the Mickey Mouse Club). The boys Loved it. They were captivated by every second.

Somewhere in there we also saw The Voyage of the Little Mermaid

It was then off to let the boys run a bit. They enjoyed themselves in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Play area.

We still had to find more characters. Really Two for Disney was not going to cut it for the scrap books.

We found Mike and Sully (Jake was not so sure about these one)

We then found Buzz and Woody. There were lots of cute picture opportunities in the line to see them. Too bad it was dark and the flash didn't do them justice.

By this time it was dark and we were all crabby. Look how cool the hat in the middle of the park looked at night

We then saw an awesome show called Fantasmic. It was very cool. There were video's projected in the water. I could see that again.

Finally we had to check out the cool lights. They really put Rochester to shame :)

Florida Day Four

Day four was full of relaxation (I guess you could call what we did relaxing). We started off the day at the pool :) The boys decided to check out the hammock's and laid there for all of 2 seconds before they were off to the next thing.

Caleb enjoyed his first experience swimming. He tried to crawl in the water and didn't mind getting his face wet at all. Doesn't he look like he is having fun?
Jacob doesn't let anything get in his way and he does it all full force. He was so cute and had a blast.
Little mr. swimmer remembered all of his great swimming skills and was off having a blast.
After a few hours in the pool we headed back to the condo to chill for awhile while Josh played 9 holes of golf. Jake fell asleep which ended up being a bad move but he was happy for the evening. When Josh was done with golf we headed to Downtown Disney for some dinner and shopping. We took the boys to the TRex restruant. It is owend by rainforest cafe and is very similar except filled with Dino's instead of rainforest animals. The kids loved it :)

We had to take a stop at the Lego store (and maybe buy a few things)
It was then off to the Disney store. Omi had given the boys some money and all Ben wanted was Mickey Mouse hands. He LOVED them. Jake got a stuffed Dumbo which seems to have taken the place of Daddy elephant for the time being.

Josh and I had to visited our favorite Ice Cream place. Let's just say we had a lot of it and I can still taste the amazing peperment ice cream with dark chocolate sauce. While eating our ice cream Ben had his hands on and someone told him that all he needed now were the ears (guess what he was asking for next)

When we got home we put the kids to Ben. This is how I found Ben when I went to check on him.
