Silly Jacob

A few weeks ago I could not get Jacob to leave his goggles on at swimming. I have been trying to get him to wear goggles because he likes to look up instead of at the bottom of the pool and I thought that goggles may help a bit. Anyway, after he got home he decided that the goggles were fun. He brought them to me and wanted them on. He left them on for almost an hour. He is such a silly little boy:)

First Day of School

Today was Ben's first day of school. He did very good and seemed to have lots of fun. He is attending preschool at our church this year. It seems to be a great program and if we ever move it will be really close to home. There are 15 kids in his class and several of them he recognizes from church/cubbies. I am very excited for him to start school again. He loved it last year so I am hoping that the trend continues. Here is a picture of him walking out the door. I could not get him to hold his bag oh well. I guess that is part of the reason why I got him a bag that would be easy for me to carry instead of a backpack this year :)

State Fair

We took the boys to the state fair on Sunday. The boys LOVE animals. It is so great to see them be so interested in things. We had lots of fun despite the VERY hot weather. I can't complain I love it that it is so warm.

Heather this picture is for you. We tried to take him home but thought it might be a little difficult to sneak a 550 turtle out of the fair :)
Jacob was fearless with the animals and was giving carrots to all of them.

Ben wanted his picture taken "riding" the horses
And since Ben did it Jacob wanted to join in the fun as well

Ben went on a pony ride at the very end of the fair. He had lots of fun. His pony decided it needed to go potty while Ben was riding which was lots of excitement for Ben. He enjoyed the ride anyway :)

Grand Prix

Ben and Josh whet to the Grand Prix this weekend. I seemed to hear much more about the bouncy things than I did about the race. I know that they did watch the race for about an hour or so. It seemed like they had tons of fun and enjoyed their time together. I also enjoyed my day with just Jacob and spent the day with Carolyn and Sarah. We had so much fun being able to talk while our kids slept :)
