Everything has a home :)

Well all the toys at least :)

Here are the new containers that we got for the bookshelves. They are red but they look orange in the picture for some reason. (the Lego's and dino's really live under the crib but they are played with a lot lately)

The closet. It is not much different but things now have containers and they are labeled with what they contain :)

I finally found a purpose for the 'hunk of wood' it fits my beautifully labeled bins perfectly

The basement is kind of scary but it is much better than it was. All is organized according to kind and the bins can easily be brought upstairs and replaced with other things :)

So all is organized for now until Jacob's birthday and we have to find room for more stuff. I will enjoy it for another week or so.

Off to find another part of the house to organize.

Jacob being funny

This is how Jacob thinks he should put his head on his pillow :)

Some fun video's forgive the poor taping. The kids love the camera

Sorry it has been so long

It has been a really long time since I have posted anything really. Life is busy. I guess it is going to be busy for a long time now.
Here is a brief update on what is going on:
Ben
Ben still loves school and Cubbies. He is missing his Daddy during Tax season but they write each other notes everyday on a white board which is helping and is fun for Ben. They also have a calender with Smiley faces on the days that Daddy will be home which is also pretty fun for Ben. We keep busy with Church, school and swimming. It helps make the weeks go by a little faster. One of the first days that Josh had to stay late at work Ben would not eat dinner because Daddy was not home. It was very cute. He then cried when he had to go to bed and daddy was not here to tuck him in.

Jacob
Jacob is almost one which I cannot believe. I am so much not believing it that I have done nothing for a party for him. (that is my goal of the week). He is cruising around all the furniture but really does not have that much of a desire to walk yet. He is so happy all the time and loves to give really big smiles. He is finally getting over a pretty bad ear infection. He had such a bad one and since he is so good I didn't know for a long time. The Dr. kind of thought I was crazy when I went in and said "I think he has an infection in his right ear, he has no fever, no runny nose, no cough he just pulls on it" I was right :) Jacob's favorite thing right now is hair. He loves to get his hands on anyones hair that will let him (watch out if you are ever holding him). His first animal noise is a dino thanks to his brother. It is quite cute that he will start to "roar" like a dino for us :). He is not at all fazed by his daddy being gone but is so happy to see him when he is home.

Josh
Josh is doing well. He is FINALLY over his 3 month long cold/bronchitis spell. He is getting used to the busy season schedule. He is doing a really good job of helping me out on weekends with the boys when he is home. He is also doing a good job of helping Ben understand why he is gone so much right now.

Me
I am busy as always with my two jobs and being a Mom and Dad Monday - Thursday. My job at church is going really well and I really enjoy it. My swimming is fun although Saturday's are really long. I am sure I will get used to it but for now it is a long day. I really miss Josh. I just like to spend time with my husband and it takes me awhile to adjust to him being gone. My bumps are pretty much all gone which is great and I am starting to feel much better.

Here are some cute pic's of Jacob showing off his big teeth.

Another one to add to my Crazy Medical Record

So, I broke out in all of these bumps after swimming on Saturday. I kind of thought that maybe they were hives except for that they were not itchy. I ended up going to the ER in which the misdiagnosed me and just gave me a bunch of steroids to take. I did Finally talk to the Dermatologists and this is what I have:

Pityriasis Rosea

Pityriasis rosea is a rash that occurs most commonly in people between the ages of 10 and 35, but may occur at any age. The rash can last from several weeks to several months. Usually there are no permanent marks as a result of this condition, although some darker-skinned persons may develop long-lasting flat brown spots that eventually fade. It may occur at anytime of year, but pityriasis rosea is most common in the spring and fall.

Signs and Symptoms

Pityriasis rosea usually begins with a large, scaly, pink patch on the chest or back, which is called a "herold" or "mother" patch. It is frequently confused with ringworm, but antifungal creams do not help because it is not a fungus.

Within a week or two, more pink patches appear on the chest, back, arms, and legs. Patches may also occur on the neck, but rarely on the face. The patches are oval and may form a pattern over the back that resembles the outline of a Christmas tree. Sometimes the disease can produce a very severe and widespread skin eruption. About half the patients will have some itching, especially when they become warm. Physical activities like jogging and running, or bathing in hot water, may cause the rash to temporarily worsen or become more obvious. There may be other symptoms including fatigue and aching. The rash usually fades and disappears within six to eight weeks, but can sometimes last much longer.

cause

The cause is unknown. Pityriasis rosea is not a sign of any internal disease, nor is it caused by a fungus, a bacteria, or an allergy. There is recent evidence suggesting that it may be caused by a virus since the rash resembles certain viral illnesses, and occasionally a person feels slightly ill for a short while just before the rash appears. However, this has not been proven. Pityriasis rosea does not seem to spread from person to person and it usually occurs only once in a lifetime.

Diagnosis

The diagnosis is made by a dermatologist. Pityriasis rosea affects the back, neck, chest, abdomen, upper arms, and legs, but the rash may differ from person to person making the diagnosis more difficult. The numbers and sizes of the spots can also vary, and occasionally the rash can be found in an unusual location such as the lower body, or on the face. This usually occurs in older individuals. Fungal infections, like ringworm, may resemble this rash. Reactions to certain medications, such as antibiotics, "water pill," and heart medications can also look the same as pityriasis rosea.

The dermatologist may order blood tests, scrape the skin, or take a sample from one of the spots (skin biopsy), to examine under a microscope to make the diagnosis.

Treatment

Pityriasis rosea often requires no treatment and it usually goes away by itself. However, treatment may include external or internal medications for itching. Soothing medicated lotions and lubricants may be prescribed. Lukewarm rather than hot baths may be suggested. Ultraviolet light treatments given under the supervision of a dermatologist may be helpful.

Occasionally, anti-inflammatory medications such as corticosteroid may be necessary to stop itching or make the rash go away. Patients should be reassured that this disease is not a dangerous skin condition even if it occurs during pregnancy.

Remember that pityriasis rosea is a common skin disorder and is usually mild. Most cases usually do not need treatment and fortunately, even the most severe cases eventually go away.
